The scientific programme is subdivided in the three main areas of Instrumentation and Methods, Materials Science and Life Science. The three main areas are structured in symposia which cover the main aspects of current developments and applications in microscopy. The symposia are headed by symposium chairs and in most cases subdivided into individual sessions which are co-ordinated by session chairs. World-renowned experts have been nominated as chairs to ensure a high quality of the scientific programme. The programme structure has been developed by the Scientific Programme Committee in conjunction with the International Scientific Advisory Board (a list of the individual members can be found below). In the symposia and sessions, the scientific contributions will be given as invited lectures, oral presentations and posters.
Eight Plenary Lectures will complement the sessions and symposia and will present highlights of current developments and applications in microscopy.
On Sunday afternoon, Sunday courses of tutorial nature will be offered by renowned experts on specific topics of current interest.
